WHY THEY MATTER
More than a recording
A tape pack preserved the speed, crowd noise, rewinds, microphone work and abrupt transitions that a studio release could not. It was both souvenir and distribution network: a night in Milton Keynes replayed in bedrooms, cars and record shops across the country.
The catalogue will prioritise identification over duplication. Each record should state the event, approximate or confirmed date, arena, performers, format and the evidence used.
